The Queens’ Culinary Market
The Queens’ Culinary Market
Every 2nd & 4th Thursday | 4:00 – 7:00 PM Experience the true taste of Hawai’i Island at the Queens’ Culinary Market, in partnership with Naupaka Events. Celebrate Hawai’i’s rich agricultural and culinary heritage with local farmers and businesses showcasing their unique products and culinary talents. The market offers a variety of food options, including fresh produce, baked goods, and artisanal items like honey, jam, coffee, and more. More than just a place to find delicious food, it’s a community hub where locals and visitors can enjoy live music, relax in the beer garden hosted by Waikoloa Shrimp Co., engage with non-profit organizations, and participate in occasional cooking demonstrations or “talk stories” with local chefs, vendors, and farmers. It’s a destination for food enthusiasts to explore new flavors, discover hidden gems, support local businesses, and immerse themselves in Hawai’i’s rich cultural diversity – a market experience not to be missed!

72nd Annual Paniolo Parade
72nd Annual Paniolo Parade
Celebrating WHO We Are: Paniolo Festival - September 21-22Great news! Aloha Festivals Island of Hawai’i is returning! The plan includes a year-round series of priceless cultural experiences and recently, they held a super successful Moananui Ocean Festival including poke contest and paddling races. Next up will be a revival of Waimea’s beloved Paniolo Parade and Ho’olaule’a followed by an all-day Rodeo – Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 21-22, 2024. As in the past, Aloha Festivals celebrates Hawaiian culture, language, arts, and traditional Hawaiian customary practices striving to keep alive century-old traditions, historical protocols, and celebrations. Through a series of exciting events, the program aims to teach, engage and share with kamaʻāina and visitors alike about Hawaiian customary practices. We are all invited to participate – as parade spectators – OR – by entering a unit in the parade for your school, faith group, club, business, ranch or farm – you name it! More details will be posted to the event website this week: www.AlohaFestivalsIslandofHawaii.com. There is no charge to enter and it’s a meaningful way to support and nurture Waimea’s heritage while also helping perpetuate cultural practices and values. This is our KULEANA!
